Spiritual Quest

I guess I’m a teacher now…

“…in the presence of our great God and our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who is destined to judge both the living and the dead by the revelation of his kingdom—I solemnly instruct you to proclaim the Word of God and stand upon it no matter what! Rise to the occasion and preach when it is convenient and when it is not. Preach in the full expression of the Holy Spirit—with wisdom and patience as you instruct and teach the people.” 1 Timothy 4:1-2 TPT It amazes me how, when you believe you are doing what you’re supposed to, God…

Visible Display

Throughout the coming ages we will be the visible display of the infinite, limitless riches of his grace and kindness, which was showered upon us in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:7 TPT   I recently discovered a new translation of the Bible that caught my attention for its name, The Passion Translation. According to its publisher, “[it] is a heart-level translation, from the passion of God’s heart to the passion of your heart.” This version nevertheless claims not to be a paraphrase but rather a new translation. It was equally published in separate books. Of course, I decided to give it…

Listening

Listening is not the same as hearing. There’s a huge difference. We can hear a broad range of sounds, noises, voices, languages, etc. To listen is an entirely different issue. This would be my third week in America. One might think that the process of speaking your second language will turn on automatically. Well, it is not that simple. My ears and my eyes recognize the langue immediately. The…

Fort Pickens

I am still not used to this hot weather…. basically because it is not a dry hot but a humid one. Monday finally arrived. We went to the Memorial Day picnic, and I was sweating like if a flood had happened inside my body. Crazy… I know. This humidity was simply unbearable for Mexican, who’s not used to temperatures above 85F (I am used to 60-70F). I was getting out of the car when I asked the Lord strength to endure my blessings. Camp Beach was here. I took a deep breath and walked towards my destiny. Camp involved a…

Fort Pickens
