Internship

Devotion

fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer… Rom. 12:11b-12 NASB   My time in Baton Rouge finally came to its end. I knew that eventually, the internship would come to its end. What I did not expect was the feeling of longing that started to invade my heart. Baton Rouge was not yet another place in which I spend summer. It was the place where God spoke to me, introduced me to what deep inside of me I was longing for. God put me in a loving and caring congregation. The Vineyard…

Oblivious

Summer has finally come to its end. With it, a lot of lessons, insights, and encouragement adds to the list of things that will help me become a better man, a better friend, a better son, but above all a better servant. I am amazed at how ten weeks were taken away just like the air blows upon the water at the bay where I am writing this. It has been raining for almost the entire day. Been the melancholic guy that I am, I can’t do but to sit down and ponder on some of the lessons I’ve learned.…

Listening

Mis oídos, y mis ojos lo reconocen inmediatamente. El problema es con el habla. Por alguna razón me toma más tiempo poder hablar inglés…

Fort Pickens

I am still not used to this hot weather…. basically because it is not a dry hot but a humid one. Monday finally arrived. We went to the Memorial Day picnic, and I was sweating like if a flood had happened inside my body. Crazy… I know. This humidity was simply unbearable for Mexican, who’s not used to temperatures above 85F (I am used to 60-70F). I was getting out of the car when I asked the Lord strength to endure my blessings. Camp Beach was here. I took a deep breath and walked towards my destiny. Camp involved a…
